Having been on numerous trips with my daughter and son at various stages of babyness, I'm happy to share my top three tips to making your travel day a little smoother...
- Try to book your flights for when your baby will sleep or will be in a good mood. If baby is too nosy to nap when out and about somewhere new (like mine), at least they aren't cranky.
- Before you go, get baby used to room temperature bottles and food. This saves the hassle of heating while you're en route.
- Separate all of baby's belongings throughout your luggage. This way, if a bag gets lost, it's not the one with all the baby's things. For your carry-on, however, keep all of baby's food and toiletries together. This helps you stay organized when going through security.
If you think like a Boy Scout and "be prepared," your travel days should pass by in the blur they should be, and your most vivid memories will be of your amazing time together as a family.
