Please choose your child's age Year old

PHYSICAL
He may start walking on his own.
He is able to use his grasp and manipulate an object.

MENTAL
His curiosity grows. He may examine the cat and back away when he gets frightened.

SOCIAL
Your toddler has figured out how to make her desires known: When she wants down, she'll point down; when she wants your attention, she'll tug your shirt. And even though she may not be talking much, she's understanding a good percentage of the simple language you use around her every day.

HOW YOU CAN HELP YOUR 13-MONTH OLD TODDLER:
Your toddler's play mostly involves experimentation, like "What happens if I drop the plastic cup?" or "What happens if I rub my fingers in the ketchup?" She likes to watch what happens after she does something, and because her memory isn't well developed she doesn't tire of repetition. Just let her do several kinds of that experiments to help enhance her learning as long as she doesn’t destroy any valuable properties or hurt anybody.
Eating less is normal. Between birth and their first birthdays, babies typically triple in weight and add 25.4 cm. in length. But between her first and second birthdays her growth rate will slow considerably and she'll start to lose her toddler fat. Expect the amount she eats every day as well as her food likes and dislikes to vary. It’s not necessary to force her to eat. Just let her enjoy her meals!
