Look on the bright side. Touches of blue and pink look sweet in the nursery; around your eyes, not so much. To offset that bloodshot color, rim your top and bottom lashes with a flesh-toned pencil liner. For dark shadows beneath your eyes, blend in dots of concealer that’s slightly lighter than your natural skin tone.
Curl up. One quick squeeze of a lash curler opens up eyes so dramatically, people will think baby’s sleeping through the night (only you’ll know the truth).
Get a caffeine fix. Got bags under your eyes? Don’t just drink some tea—wear it. Resting a cooled tea bag on eyes for a few minutes will help de-puff them.
Strike a pose. Consider a Mommy and Me yoga class, recommends Leslie Baumann, M.D., a dermatologist in Miami. Even the most basic positions stimulate lymphatic drainage, which deflates puffiness.
Think pink. Choose a creamy blush in a natural shade and dab it on the apples of your cheeks. It’s like having a pregnancy glow all over again.
Take a cold shower. “It gets circulation pumping and gives skin a fresh, healthy flush,” says Jeanette Graf, M.D., a dermatologist in New York City. Chilly, yes, but you’ll actually be glad to have only 60 seconds to wash!
Baby your face. Rub a baby wipe over your face in small circles, an instant glower-upper. Stick with fragrance free versions, like these from HUGGIES.
Don’t drag your feet. Pick up the pace when you’re pushing that stroller says Felicia Stoler, M.D., a nutrition and exercise physiologist in New Jersey: “Cardiovascular activity gives you a rush of blood that makes you look and feel alert.” Love that.
